Whats Up?!
Posted By Patricia Ritsema van Eck On 8th March 2006 @ 19:21 In Marketing Message | No Comments
I know, I know. You haven’t been hearing much from me lately. Nothing at all really…
Usually when this happens we have been hit by incredibly nice weather which calls for reading books in my hammock. Nice weather can be rare in the Netherlands so you have to grab the opportunity when it hits you!
However, it’s still winter over here. Real winter with snow even!
Yet of the mushy kind so that would not get me out that much…
Actually there are a couple of things. The main reason I’m not as communicative as I usually like to be is because of a series of small family matters and a laptop who is suffering from burn-out. Badly enough to have given up on me. I confess I had been pushing it to the limit. With the fan running continuously and the memory going below 500Mb of free space, I wasn’t that surprised when one day in February it went on strike.
If you experience a crash yourself you know how it is like. Of course I didn’t back-up my files properly et cetera, et cetera. You know you should, but there’s always something else more important that needs your attention. Tough luck! Every computer dies one day and you better be prepared. Luckily I managed to recover the bulk but I’m still in the process of getting everything organized again on my new computer…
At the same time the taxes are due over here - something I like to ignore for 11 months and then I spend a whole month organizing my administration. Another thing I will not advice you to copy. And to make matters worse, my webhost has gone into a slight spasm about hackers finding their way into scripts which aren’t updated and demanded me to either get all my websites up-to-date like right now or find a new host.
(Actually they have been quite good about offering help with it. If only their fee wouldn’t be that high I probably would have taken them up on the offer.)
Spring is in the air - which always demands a thorough cleansing of the house. Both off-line and on-line. And I’m working at organizing my sites and my mailing lists in a better way. Which is a challenging task as well…
And last but not least I have gone off in a software trip again. I found this wonderful software which creates membership sites and fell in love. It’s like the good old days when MYOS first came out. My mind is on overdrive with great ideas how to implement these scripts on my sites - you are going to love what I’ll be releasing over the coming months!
The downside is that it seriously affects my linguistic abilities. No kidding. I walk and talk script these days. Only yesterday I was brainstorming with my friend and affiliate manager Sam Heyer about the first site that will go live. And I would wonder off in explanations of how %%Perl: command {$this('’)}%% would facilitate %%cool feature: that%%. Poor Sam…
Writing a nice article seems like conquering the Mount Everest to me at the moment. And that’s the main reason I also haven’t felt much like writing newsletters or post in forums or on the blogs. (With exception of the forum for the membership site software.)
Anyway, enough about what I’ve been up to. If you’re still reading, you’re probably a lot more interested in how this membership stuff will affect you!
Let me start by assuring you that no matter what I’m releasing, you will continue to have access to all that’s currently online already! But here are some of the transformations that I’ll be working on the coming year:
Manifesting Money Out of Thin Electrons
This will be the first membership site to go live and it will hold some incredibly cool features for anyone who’s interested in selling digital products online. The Thin Electrons materials are about a simple 4 step system to manifest money through creating and selling information products:
Facilitating these 4 steps in a practical manner - especially step 4 - will be the main focus of the membership site. I will explain more about how this will work next week…
Let’s Make Software!
The second site wich will get a complete make-over that’s been long overdue. It would have made sense if it had been a membership site right from the start and some of my subscribers have been nagging me about setting it up in such a way from the beginning. I do apologize for not understanding at the time. Your wishes will be granted soon!
Together with Joe Ferdinando, one of the loyal moderators at the Let’s Make Software forum, we have been working on a really nice feature for all forum members and though it’s been put on the back-burner again for now, I can promise you you are going to love it!
The DreamWeavers Project
This one has always been hanging in mid-air somehow. It became a spin-off of My Happy Heart but it really deserves it’s own site and that’s what it will get. The DreamWeavers Project is about collecting inspiring dreams for humanity and with the software I now have, I can set it up so that finding and submitting new dreams will be a breeze for everyone.
Inter Netties
A collective endeavor of female internet marketers who are fed up with having to fall back on all the male marketing examples to model their businesses on. We want a fresh breath of air to travel through the internet marketing world and show other women that you can also market without scratching your balls and insulting the intelligence of your prospects. Watch out for this one!
My Happy Heart
It’s the title of my book and with all of the exiting stuff going on, I still haven’t found the time to finish the English translation. It will come. And all I can say is that usually when it does, in retrospect is was the best timing. Even if your head doesn’t grasp it yet…
But when this happens, the site will split. The current site will become a site purely for the book. And all of the surrounding inspirational heart focus pages will move to a new site. With lots of practical heart focus tools - some of which I have been playing around with as software applications and you may have tried them already. Others are still in the making…
I guess that’s the overall plan for the coming year. No dates, no deadlines and no promises because this simply doesn’t work when you have 4 youngsters in the house who don’t plan their whims and diseases according to your schedule. Be patient. And enjoy what you’ve got now to the fullest!
Wishing you happiness,
Patricia
