Sir Rupert & The Accidental Guru…

I detest gurus. I really, really do. It’s nothing personal. I detest what other people make of them.
Born in the sixties I was brought up in an environment where many of my friends’ parents had been hippies. My own dad has records of many an artist who made an appearance at Woodstock. And I had plenty of yogi tea in households where albeit everyone was dressed in variations of orange - disciples of Bagwan Sri Raneesh. Or wore necklesses with the image of Sai Baba.
During my teens I was under the impression that all gurus lived in India. Or at least had their roots in this country of the mystics. But later on I discovered that gurus are found in all areas where people seek direction. Rockstars and famous actors can be given guru status as well. Surely Oprah Winfrey - a woman I truly respect for what she’s doing - is looked upon as a guru of sorts. And of course there are also internet gurus…
There is a certain stupidity which emerges from a mass of devotees who repeat their gurus phrases with a trance-like look in their eyes and never question if what’s been said holds true for them as an individual as well. When God created (wo)men, he gave us a brain. And I’m pretty certain it was given for a very good reason: to use it!
Now my dad may have played lots of hippie music, he’s also a scientist to the core. And in our family not a single statement was accepted without thorough scrutiny of its truth. So never have I been even tempted to shave my head, chant whomever’s mantras or blindly follow the leader of the peck.
That isn’t to say I don’t admire or respect people. I do have my private list of individuals whom I readily want to learn from. Whenever I encounter some form of expertise in a field I wish to learn about, I’m all ears and ready to soak up new knowledge as a sponge…
One of these persons is Sir Rupert Sheldrake - a biologist and scientist with revolutionary theories about the way our memories work. I once had the honor of meeting him in person. And I have to confess - I actually behaved quite silly when this happened. Showing certain behaviors I publicly disapproved of when encountering it in others. Like my slightly hysteric voice screaming “Oh my God, oh my God, it’s the real Rupert Sheldrake!”
Recently I have interviewed the #1 expert on manifesting money out of Thin Electrons…
In case you’re now wondering what on earth a biologist has to do with manifesting money - absolutely nothing whatsoever.
The reason I’m bringing him up is because I like to believe Sir Rupert unknowingly played a part in the friendship which developed between me and the person who is ultimately the reason I’m currently writing this all… Mark Joyner.
From the moment I decided to have a go at earning money online, it took me a whole 8 months to first learn his name. And when I finally did encounter ‘Mark Joyner’ I still didn’t have a clue about who he *really* was. That took me yet another month to figure it out…
So just in case you never heard of him: Mark is an Internet marketing expert and the author of many books including the #1 best-sellers ‘MindControlMarketing.com’ and recently ‘The Irresistible Offer’. After retiring from the US Army Intelligence he sold millions and millions of dollars in products and services online on a zero dollar ad budget…
I often think of Mark as being an accidental guru. I know for a fact he doesn’t like it one bit when people give him guru status. He’s actually the guy who coined the phrase “If you meet a Guru on the net, shoot him!”
Lower your gun! You’re not supposed to take this literally…
What Mark means is that you should think for yourself instead of blindly following any supposed internet guru you encounter. And while my initial encounter with Mark was pretty heated, he had my deepest respect for saying this. When we next found out we had a mutual interest in Sir Rupert’s work and that of other scientists and philosophers, our friendship was pretty soon sealed.
Last summer Mark claimed he would ‘pull 50K out of Thin Electrons’ in just a couple of weeks. That sure got my attention! And surely enough, that’s exactly what he did…
Mark explained on a live call what he did and how you can do this yourself too. This call has now been transcribed. So make sure read the transcript and when you’ve listened to what he has to say, decide if you will:
a. shoot this accidental guru
b. apply what you’ve learned from a true expert in the field…

You’ll be glad you did!
