A person I truly admire and have high respect for is Jim Edwards. A journalist and internet marketer with a real success story. Going from ‘rags to riches’ in just a few years time. It was only 1999 when Jim was still living in a trailer, barely scraping enough money together to not just starve to death…

It’s a compelling story which you can read more about here.

Jim’s happened to be one of the first names I encountered when I started out on-line. Searching for good information about how to start an on-line business, I pretty soon ran into 33 Days to Online Profits - a book he co-authored with another excellent marketer, Yanik Silver.

This book really stands out from the crowd in that it gives you a very clear day-to-day structure to set up your first fully automated sales site. It is not an expensive book which makes it attractive for anyone starting on a shoestring budget. And it also gives you plenty of free or cheap resources which will suffice as long as you’re not driving hords of hungry visitors to your site.

However, if you feel like setting your sites up the best possible way and have some extra money to invest, the book will also provide you with the higher quality resources.

I really like Jim’s style of writing and - being a writer myself - I was of course naturally drawn to his two books about writing eBooks and selling them on-line. Jim teamed up with two other established marketers and writers to produce these books. He co-authored How To Write And Publish You Own eBook In As Little As 7 Days together with Joe Vitale which turned out to be an ongoing block buster. And after that he co-authored eBook Secrets Exposed with David Garfinkel, another excellent read, which focusses more on the marketing aspects of eBook selling.

Having become a ‘regular’ customer of Jim by now, I noticed how particularly well he has organized his customer care. It already starts with the download page you are redirected to after you purchase a book. Jim is one of the very few people who actually provides you with so much information and screenshots, you really cannot go wrong with downloading. Jim’s download pages have been our primary source of inspiration when setting up ours here at The Marketing Frontline.

He runs a separate customer care site where you can already find the answers to many common questions. And if you still cannot find what you’re looking for, submit a support ticket and he or his assistant will respond to you within 24 hours. Always polite, respectful and with your best interest in mind.

Jim Edwards is also one of the few internet marketers around that about ALL other internet marketers have respect for. I guess the little world of internet marketers is in some ways much the same as the glitter and glamour world of hollywood stars. Meaning: many of them will be nice in your face, but talk around your back.

Jim is not like this and perhaps because of this, people are genuinely nice about him too. You reap what you sow…

After reading his book “Guaranteed Success Thinking” it became clear to me that Jim believes that the way you think is responsible for the way you perceive your life to be. To put it simple: you create your own life with your own thoughts. So everything which happens to you, is your own responsibility.

Click here for a free copy of Guaranteed Success Thinking

I happen to like that and do my best to live accordingly. So I really appreciate Jim for this as well.

Otherwise he is an accomplished journalist and his articles are very helpful to keep track of the internet movements. You can find many articles posted on his blog:

Jim Edwards Blog: I Gotta Tell You…

To wrap it all up: if anyone truly deserves your special attention, it’s Jim Edwards. Check him out!

I admit to being overly excited. When I first read the Confidential Internet Intelligence Manuscript II in February of this year, I was genuinely impressed by it’s content. And very disappointed it was only being sold for such a short period of time. The knowledge in here should be available to everyone who’s contemplating starting an internet business.

So when the opportunity came along to purchase the resell rights, I jumped at it. When you follow Mark’s blueprint, you have a solid foundation for success.

Yes, you’re totally right that there are more great marketers in the world and Mark surely isn’t the only one who’s proved that he knows what he’s talking about.

The late Corey Rudl was also very successful and he did a very good job at helping new entrepeneurs make a living from the net. Ken Evoy provides an excellent service for small business owners which stands out because of all of the materials he also distributes free of any charge. And then there are Joe Vitale, Jim Edwards, Yanik Silver, John Reese, Joshua Safran - just to name a few.

Lost In Information…

When it comes to internet marketing, there is a range of topics that you need to know in order to make your business work. Being a marketer, you will know where to start and what the logical sequence is to learn new topics. Then, NOT being a marketer but making an effort to become one, you won’t know the logical sequence.

If you’re smart, you start with finding someone with experience to tell you what to do first and what next. If you’re like me, you just start with whatever crosses your path first. And very likely get lost in the process as there is no logic to what you’re doing.

I first started seriously on-line in February 2004. By the time the winter arrived, I was completely lost in all the sources of information available. I was craving some logic, some order, some sense to what I was doing on-line. Begging the universe to send me something - a coach, a course, a book - anything to help me find structure.

And the universe answered my prayer. My solution was called: Mark Joyner….

I met him on a forum. Don’t ask me why - though being subscribed to those 3 dozen newsletters - I had never really noticed his name. I know it’s pretty amazing that someone who’s being called “The Godfather of Internet Marketing” did not manage to get my attention for the 10 months I’d been on-line by then, but it’s true. When I first ‘met’ Mark at this forum, I didn’t know him from a bar of soap…

And it didn’t dawn on me I was dealing with a ‘guru’ here, until I saw all these posts with people literally making digital knee-falls to thank him if he responded to what they had wrote. So I decided to ‘do a google’ on him and it was only then that I discovered why he got so many fans…

The time had come to finally read some of his work. First searching through my 3G of free bonuses, I found out I already had 5 of his eBooks and special reports. Which included some real eye-opening stuff.

Later I purchased “MindControlMarketing.com” and like I said, I read Confidential Internet Intelligence Manuscript II in February during the pre-sales and thought it to be brilliant. Personally I like it better than MindControlMarketing.com - then this view isn’t shared by everyone!

If I would have read Mark’s work before starting my business, I would have known that you don’t just start with registering a domain name and a webhost. You start your business with thinking out a complete strategy…

If I would have had access to his step-by-step process for launching a product, I would have saved months in time and probably would have been able to live from the net comfortably by now…

Every Style is Personal

Now I happen to really like Mark’s work. But I am very aware of the fact that his style is not for everyone. And you should know this, before you decide to buy any of his work. Let me explain a bit more of what you can expect from Mark…

“The man who makes no mistakes does not usually make anything.'’
- Edward John Phelps

If you can truly understand the above quote, you will be dangerous. By the time you finish this article, you’ll know what I mean.

Let’s jump right in to the quiz. Select “yes” or “no” for each of the below statements based on whether or not it applies to you:

1. I have never in my life made a marketing mistake. In other words, every piece of marketing I produce is perfect from square one.

– Yes
– No

That’s it. The quiz is over. Pretty high tech, huh? Now, please follow these grading instructions.

If you answered “yes”, you are either not being honest with yourself or are a super-genius. In either case, I can’t help you. Stop reading now!

If you answered “no”, guess what? You’re a marketing zero! Congratulations. You have just joined an exclusive club which includes me and just about anyone else who has taken a risk or two in the name of marketing. Read on, friend. I like honest folks like you and can offer some help.

Now, you may not get the point of all this yet. Here are two more clues. I will share with you two actual quotes from associates of mine:

“Internet Marketing doesn’t work. I know this for a fact because I tried it once and I didn’t make any money.”
– Nameless Fool #1

“Radio marketing stinks. I ran an ad on a local station once and had a negative ROI.”
– Nameless Boob #2

Have you figured it out yet? OK, if not, I’ll spell it out:

Great marketing isn’t a single attempt - it’s a process. The two nameless morons above (who are dear friends of mine, by the way) simply gave up after one try. I can’t imagine where my business would be today if I had been so easily discouraged.

Let’s look at that quote from Edward John Phelps again:

“The man who makes no mistakes does not usually make anything.”

The unwritten prologue to just about every great success story is an epic of failure. The process of failing, refining, and trying again is the magic formula for marketing success.

So, to begin writing your own success story immediately, use the following formula:

  • Every time you begin a new marketing campaign, give it a special name or a code. This will help you keep track of your different campaigns.
  • Keep a spread sheet of your marketing campaigns and program it to calculate your results.
  • When a campaign fails, make small changes to it and try again.
  • Over time, refine your approach based on your findings from your tests.

Now, it’s not quite this simple as you will see when you begin your testing, but this is the basic process. The key is to get started with the testing process.

When you follow this formula faithfully and consistently, I promise you will be successful. If not, write to let me know about your experience (detailing how you followed the above formula for at least 3 months and still failed) and I’ll personally take you out to lunch.

I don’t expect any takers on that one…

Today I want to share something very personal with you about simplicity, getting what you want and a dear friend of mine. If you are short on time:

http://www.simpleology.com

Otherwise…

I have a millionaire friend who asks $2000 for a one hour telephone consultation. Can you believe it?! When I first found out, I didn’t dare to contact him anymore. At a rough 33 dollars a minute I felt *nothing* I had to say could be worth wasting his costly time…

He’s been my friend for a while now, but when we first met there was nothing suspicious about him. He wasn’t bragging about how well to do he was. About how brilliant he was at doing business. About how cool it was to drive a Lexus. About how he doesn’t fly economy class ever. You know, the kind of things some rich folks like to show off with.

He did have one of those slick Italian leather bags to carry his laptop around with. That should have set me thinking. But otherwise you couldn’t tell from the looks of him how fat his wallet must be.

You see, we never spoke about business or marketing or making sales when we first met. We were engaged in discussing the great minds of this century. People like Naom Chomsky and Rupert Sheldrake — never mind if you’ve never heard of them. He did. I did. And that’s why we were having a good time together. We both love philosophy and science.

At some point I got myself into some serious shit. My friend had seen it coming and he warned me to be careful. But I didn’t listen. Frankly I had some dollar signs embossed in my eyes and when that happens… Well, you probably know how it is. You act on crazy impulses and you call it intuition. But really you are on the edge of reason…

A couple of weeks later I had to admit I made a BIG mistake. And I felt really bad about this. I had chosen to trust someone, while the evidence against it was pretty overwhelming. And I had chosen to ignore someone who had always proven to care about me. Who had stood behind me every mile of the way, even when he knew I was going way off track.

So I wrote him about how wrong I had been. And how right he was. And that he’d probably be mad with me. (I felt that I had betrayed our friendship. You know how your mind starts to play games with you when you’re feeling guilty.) Please accept apologies - etc. And frankly I thought he wouldn’t even consider it worthwhile to respond.

Much to my surprise, I got the following reply:

“Everyone makes mistakes and I’ll never find fault in anyone for trying their best to see the good in someone else. For that you should be applauded. That you trusted someone is not your failing. That someone betrayed your trust is their failing and theirs alone. I hope your dealings here don’t make you any less of the ‘Happy Heart’ Patricia everyone knows you for :-)

It was pretty soon after this I made the discovery of his telephone consultation fees. As honorable as his reply to me had been, it made me feel even more miserable when calculating what it had actually cost him to waste his time on warning me…

Anyway, at that point I decided to become a millionaire.

Aiming to be a millionaire can seem like an overwhelming goal. Especially if you are used to earning something like $100 or $200 a day.

However, that doesn’t mean it cannot be done…

Every 60 seconds someone in the world becomes a millionaire. There are literally millions of millionaires. And you could be the next. But before you get there, you have to start with working on the right mind set.

Do you agree that being a millionaire is a possibility?

If not you yourself, who can you name that has already achieved millionaire status? You can probably come up with at least a dozen names of people you know to be millionaires. Write them down too. (Hint: who’s your favorite movie star?)

The famous ones are just the tip of the iceberg…

Have you ever lived an a-ha-experience? A moment in which you suddenly came to a deep realization? Your paradigms shifted. Pieces of a puzzle fell into place. And after that the world was never the same again…

A-ha-experiences can happen on every age and with anything you believe in.

Like when you first understood that reindeers cannot fly through the sky and suddenly you realized the man in red is probably your next-door neighbor dressed up. Which explains why your mum had those packages hidden in the back of her closet, which then turned up under the christmas tree. Come to think of it… She didn’t even get mad when she caught you snooping through her bedroom. Instead she turned somewhat red and began to stutter when trying to explain to you that she was Santa’s secret helper…

Can you relate to that?

Realizing that you too could be a millionaire is a huge a-ha! I used to ‘joke’ about being a millionaire. The reason I say ‘joke’ is that - though part of me meant every word of it, another part was always going “Yeah, you a millionaire?! That’ll be the day…” This only changed for me very recently. It was actually my millionaire friend who shifted my paradigm.

After a couple of weeks of sulking I had picked up correspondence again. One day I showed him some manuscript I had written. He wrote me back a long feedback and finished this with:

“With a little bit of direction you’re going to be a millionaire.”

When that line sunk in - something just clicked inside…

Tell me: do you get what you want?

Because there is actually a science to this. A science my friend has applied for himself and for his friends on many occasions. And when you follow certain laws and rules, there is actually almost no way you cannot get what you want.

My friend showed it all to me. And what’s got me really excited is the fact he turned it into a multi-media course. With video clips, audios and pdf material he is teaching me how to get exactly what I want in less than 40 days.

I really love this. It is a perfect blend of heart and mind thinking. It has the ancient elements linked to rocked science. And it’s all in accelerated learning format, which means that all of your senses are shaken up and involved in the learning process. While at the same time: it really is all dead simple and easy.

When things are simple, they usually work…

Hey, you know what’s even more cool? As of today my friend is making this course of his available to everyone. There is no charge. All you have to do is go to his website and sign up for a membership. You will get 38 lessons which will take you about 15 minutes a day and change your life forever.

I whole heartedly recommened you take a look and get what you want. Now!

Wishing you happiness!

I was wondering if you ever had any dealings with mr. Yabut? Or mrs. Yabut — they are a couple…

Chances are you probably did. Actually, I’d bet my life savings on it. It’s a sneaky couple who always show up uninvited and when they do, they manage to spoil the fun within minutes…

If the Yabuts frequent your house, chances are you’re not being very successful with anything you undertake.

We all know that being successful isn’t a matter of being in the right business. Everywhere we look we see some people being successful in a particular business, and at the same time we see tons of people struggling in the exact same business.

We also know that being successful isn’t a matter of being in the right place at the right time. If that were true, then it would all be a matter of luck, and everyone would have an equal chance. But we know that successful people score big over and over again, and losers fail over and over again…

Would you like to know the secret of a real winner?

http://www.marketingfrontline.com/success.html

Hint: it has to do with the Yabuts…

Enjoy!
